Pioneer Courage Park, built in honor of those who settled this great land we call home, tells the story of the pioneer families and children who migrated west. The sculptures are intended to depict bravery, courage, and entrepreneurial spirit, and visitors are encouraged to walk along what would have been a dry creek bed with the pioneers and bison and envision the journey that took place.

This park on the west bank of the Missouri River is the original landing site of the Lewis & Clark expedition back in the 1800’s. Today, a variety of festivals and concerts take place here, with beautiful views of the river, fountains, the pedestrian bridge, and the magnificant Omaha skyline. Here you can also visit the Firefighter’s Memorial Monument and the second largest labor monument in the United States.

Omaha has the perfect mix of big city amenities with beautiful hiking trails and lakes nearby. Want to walk your pup around a lake without having to drive an hour out of the city? You have plenty of options to do that in Omaha. Our favorite lake to go to for a run or afternoon kayak is Lake Zorinsky.
Bison, wolves, and bears, Oh My! Our Safari park offers a very different feeling than the zoo. If you are from a bigger city, there is nothing your kids will love more. The Safari Park has driving and walking trails that allow you to hear and see animals in a natural environment. From bison roaming, elk playing, and wolves roaming in and out of caves, it offers an outdoor fun experience you could never get at a zoo.
