A large mid-west commercial banking firm with a variety of business offerings that includes corporate banking, credit card processing, merchant solutions, investment banking, retail banking, wealth management, and consumer lending needed a system upgrade. The bank’s critical and large CA Gen 6.5 client-server application required to be upgraded to a supported version of the CA Gen product while mandatory regulatory changes to the same application were being done. The bank partnered with QAT Global to help with the upgrade due to the CA Gen expertise.

QAT Global’s Approach

QAT Global devised a solution to upgrade the bank’s CA Gen 6.5 development environment and run time environments including 3rd party software to CA Gen 7.5 while the regulatory changes were being made to the bank system. QAT Global provided project planning, project management, 3rd party infrastructure support/installation, actual upgrade of the CA Gen environments, and application testing.

QAT Global upgraded the bank’s critical CA Gen Client Server system to CA Gen 7.5 on time and on budget. Since QAT Global’s solution did the complete upgrade during a development cycle, significant savings were achieved.
