Why Brazil

QAT's ODC (offshore development center) is located in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, meaning the time difference to US CDT is only two hours, enabling a high level of communication between offshore and onshore teams.

QA Technologies began its relationship with Brazil in 1998 focusing on libraries and specialized graphical application development. QAT took this opportunity to verify Brazilian technical and cooperative engagement skills. During this time, the best practices techniques and tools to support remote work collaboration were established.  Soon after, QAT established a solid base for its development center in Brazil, including new products and technologies development.

In selecting the location for its offshore development center, QAT took into consideration the challenges time zone differences between western business centers and many of the major offshore development sites in India and China presented.  In these locations, there are few hours in the day when project participants can be found in all office. This is an unacceptable conflict from QAT’s perspective because we understand how critical good communication is to a successful project.
