Agility BPM™ - Business Process Automation and Orchestration

Consider the fact that all modern management theories place heavy emphasis on business process and its management. Despite this emphasis, business process has mainly been locked away in the technology of legacy applications. In other words, business process gets developed into the application code and the management of the business process becomes part of the traditional life cycle management.

One of the core concepts of QAT Genesis is to free the business process from the code base and make it the central focus and the basic building block of the modern business system.

Agility BPM™ is a web-enabled process automation and orchestration tool, which can be used to rapidly replace large portions of legacy applications, including the user interfaces, without programming. With Agility BPM™, business processes are designed in a graphical process model tool and interpretively executed by the process automation engine.

At runtime, Agility BPM™ automates (without programming) data collection and complex processes using a rich Ajax user interface within the QAT WebDaptive open framework. This allows the processes to be to be seamlessly integrated with hand written pages as a single application. This client is used for data collection and complex process execution that requires no programming. The client has a full set of Web 2.0 user interface controls, formatting, validation, error handling, relational edits and much more.

On the back end, Agility BPM™ allows for IT services to be registered and reused. These IT Services include Web Services and other custom services.

At design time, Agility BPM™ provides a graphical modeling tool that can be used by business or IT analysts to define and automate complex business processes without programming.

The maintenance process is rapid and flexible. The process definitions can be changed without programming and the changes can be activated when ready. Examples of common changes include adding, changing or removing fields from the interface, adding changing or removing entire steps in the process or changing the decisions used to guide the sequencing of the steps.

Agility BPM™ can be used to automate 40-70 percent of the user interface in a typical enterprise application. It also automates the sequencing of not only the automated pages, but other custom applications pages as they are seamlessly integrated within the process.
