Business Process Management - Agility BPM™

Technical Details

Key Features
  • Visually design enterprise wide business processes and execute them on-the-fly.
  • Functional Areas provide an unlimited hierarchy to logically organize participants and define access to workflow processes.  Two different Functional Areas can have the same business process, but execute them differently.
  • Automated Document Generation and Preview makes it simple to generate multiple PDF Documents from the data collected by your workflows.  The documents can also be previewed from any step within the workflow and/or directly from the work queues.
  • Email Links generate automatic emails with links to directly open the workflow step.
  • Full Version control of Workflows with synchronization features that allow the seamless retirement of one version and the activation of the next.
  • Support for sequential and parallel workflow processes. Dependent steps can be established on any previous workflow step. You can also ensure that all previous paths and/or steps have been completed before the workflow continues
  • Logical "and/or" branching based on user defined rules allow dynamic control of the Workflow.
  • Sophisticated rules can be designed to control the path of the workflow.
  • Workflows can dynamically call external interfaces to execute services that send or retrieve data from other applications, databases and/or services.
  • Workflows can call other Workflows (Sub-Flows). Sub-Flows can be Synchronous or Asynchronous.  Synchronous Sub-Flows shares data between the two flows and control of the main flow depends on the Sub-Flow completing before it continues.  Subflows can also be Asynchronous Sub-Flows receive data from the main flow, but the two flows continue independent of each other.
  • Control Workflow Step execution based on user entered values.
  • Steps can be re-routed to previous steps if additional work is required. Multiple re-route paths can be defined for each step and each re-route provides sophisticated control of the status and disposition of all previous steps
  • Workflow status can be dynamically changed as steps are completed.
  • Notification of Workflow completion and step completion can be automatically generated.
Define Functional Areas and Business Process Users
  • Agility BPM™ allows definition of users that can receive work assignments from this system.
  • A hierarchy tree view is used to define and represent the Functional Areas of an Organization. Functional Areas can represent an organization chart or any logical grouping that is required to support the business process.
  • Users can be grouped together into Functional Areas. Workflow Steps can be assigned to a specific user or to any user in a Functional Area.
  • Functional Area users can be allowed to assign and manage the Work Queues.
Work Management Queues
  • Workflow Steps post to a work management queue based on dependent step completion.
  • The queue provides powerful search and organization features.
  • Queue steps can be selected by a user or assigned to a user by a Manager.
  • Managers have full control of the work in their Functional Areas. The management queue provides the ability to monitor and manage the active work.
  • Users can track their active Workflow items.
  • Steps in a queue can be completed, pended, re-routed, or terminated
Other Highlights
  • A robust integration platform that results in tight integration of transactions across multiple systems to create a single automated business transaction.
  • Through component integration, A Workflow can initiate printing of documents, read/write data to external databases, execute an external application or flow to a window in another application.
  • Workflows and workflow steps can be inactivated. This allows workflows and/or their steps to be reactivated only when they are needed.
